Natalie’s Estate Winery is nestled in the quiet foothills of the Chehalem Mountain AVA in Oregon’s Willamette Valley. Our family-run operation was founded by owners Boyd and Cassandra Teegarden in 1999.

We are dedicated to handcrafting small batches of premium wines using traditional European winemaking techniques. We produce unforgettable handcrafted wines that are unique & reflect the artisan care we put into making our single vineyard wines and robust blends.

Our vineyards and varietals represent their distinctly different terroir. These superb wines are built to age gracefully with complex characteristics distinctive of where they were grown. We select fruit from the finest Pacific Northwest vineyards as well as our Willamette Valley Pinot Noir Estate Vineyard.

The owners are involved in every step of the way including hosting you in the welcoming tasting room!

We are excited that our 2018 wine portfolio

Winemaker Boyd Teegarden in the vineyard
Boyd Teegarden

Boyd started in the wine industry in 1989 after graduating from Kansas State University. He was hired into the top rated Management Training Program for the E & J Gallo Winery and began his career in Denver, Colorado. This renowned industry training program gave him the opportunity to receive in-depth knowledge of both the business and production side of the wine industry.  In addition he gained experience working in various markets around the country and exposure to some of the greatest minds in the wine business as well as being certified as a specialist in wine (CSW).

In 1995, Boyd and Cassandra were relocated to the Oregon market to focus on supplier relationships for the Gallo Winery. Having seen the Oregon wine business develop and gain momentum in the mid 1990s, they decided to start building their own dream of a boutique winery in 1999. Natalie’s Estate currently handcrafts 2000 cases a year of small lots of several different varietals from our estate vineyard and various other vineyards throughout the Northwest.

Why the hummingbird?

We have named the winery after our daughter, Natalie, and the symbol of the hummingbird was chosen to represent our winemaking philosophy – be a small producer where the intensity of the wines become our strength.

Like the hummingbird it is our goal to harvest the finest fruit nectar. Also the hummingbird is considered a messenger of joy and friendship and symbols of wonder and beauty. Our local northwest Native Americans believe that it brings luck to see a hummingbird before major events.
