MEET OUR FAMILY
Boyd Teegarden, Winemaker
Boyd started in the wine industry in 1989 after graduating from Kansas State University. He was hired into the top rated Management Training Program for the E & J Gallo Winery and began his career in Denver, Colorado. This renowned industry training program gave him the opportunity to receive in-depth knowledge of both the business and production side of the wine industry. In addition he gained experience working in various markets around the country and exposure to some of the greatest minds in the wine business as well as being certified as a specialist in wine (CSW).
In 1995, Boyd and Cassandra were relocated to the Oregon market to focus on supplier relationships for the Gallo Winery. Having seen the Oregon wine business develop and gain momentum in the mid 1990s, they decided to start building their own dream of a boutique winery in 1999. Natalie’s Estate currently handcrafts 2000 cases a year of small lots of several different varietals from our estate vineyard and various other vineyards throughout the Northwest. In addition, Boyd also consults for other wineries and helps manage other Willamette Valley vineyards.
Cassandra Teegarden, President
Cassandra’s received a Master in International Business and worked for various companies throughout my corporate career such as American Airlines Computer Systems, Mentor Graphics Engineering Company and several small internet companies. She has held many board positions in the community and the marketing background and experience with start-ups has allowed her to grow and define their boutique winery business while being able to raise their daughter. The winery was named after their daughter, Natalie.
