Sustainability – It is the way we do everything from the farming of the vineyards to the making of wine. We embrace “Old World” methods which emphasize less intervention in winemaking without adding ingredients. We believe good wine is made in the vineyard and it’s our job not to mess it up.
We have eliminated the foil caps for our wines to eliminate added waste and we also use locally produced glass from Washington in a lighter-weight format to lower our overall use of fuel in shipping wines.
We dry farm our vineyards, which saves precious water, and we choose not to use harmful chemicals. We also buy fruit from vineyards that use similar vineyard practices.
Half of our property is left in its natural state as an oak and fir forest as a habitat for the critters that live here – deer, owls, coyotes, hawks, and other smaller animals and birds to flourish. We are committed to protecting the native Oregon Oak trees on our property and have joined the Oregon Oak Accord along with other vineyard owners.
We seek to keep a light footprint on the land we call home. When you drink our wine, you can be assured it was made with intention and love.
