There is something special about standing in the vineyard where the grapes in your glass were grown. The experience connects you to the land, the seasons, and the countless decisions that shape every bottle of wine.
At Natalie’s Estate Winery, our vineyard tours offer guests far more than a traditional tasting experience. They provide an opportunity to step behind the scenes, walk among the vines, and discover the story of our wines from the ground up.
What makes the experience especially unique is that every tour is personally led by our winemaker or a member of our winemaking team. Rather than hearing a scripted presentation, guests can learn directly from the people who farm the vineyard, monitor the growing season, harvest the fruit, and craft the wines they enjoy in their glass.

Experience Wine Beyond the Tasting Room
Many wine tastings begin and end with what is in the glass. Our vineyard tours invite you to explore what came before the bottle.
As you walk through the vineyard with our winemaker or winemaking team, you’ll learn how the unique climate and soils of the Chehalem Mountains AVA help shape the character of our wines. From cool mornings and warm afternoons to the influence of volcanic soils, every aspect of our site contributes to the flavors and aromas found in each vintage.
Guests gain a firsthand understanding of why estate-grown wines tell such a distinct story and why vintage variation is one of the most exciting parts of winemaking.

Discover the Seasons of the Vineyard
The vineyard is constantly changing throughout the year, and every season offers something new to experience.
Spring brings budbreak and the excitement of a new growing season. Early summer brings flowering and fruit set as the vineyard begins to determine the size and quality of the upcoming harvest. By late summer, clusters ripen under the Oregon sun as the vines prepare for harvest.
Autumn transforms the vineyard into a hive of activity as grapes are picked and rushed to the winery to begin fermentation. Even winter has its own beauty, as the vineyard rests and the careful work of pruning begins again.

Learn About Our Sustainable Farming Practices
One of the aspects guests enjoy most is learning how we care for the land that cares for our vines.
At Natalie’s Estate, we practice regenerative farming techniques designed to improve soil health and encourage biodiversity throughout the property. Our vineyard operates with a no-till farming approach that helps protect soil structure and preserve beneficial microorganisms beneath the surface.
Approximately half of our property remains uncultivated as natural habitat, creating a healthy ecosystem that supports birds, beneficial insects, and local wildlife. You may even spot some of our bluebird houses during your visit, which help encourage natural pest management in the vineyard.
We also perform much of our vineyard work by hand, allowing us to give individual attention to each vine and make thoughtful decisions throughout the growing season.

Meet the People Behind the Wines
One of the things guests appreciate most about our vineyard tours is the opportunity to ask questions and engage directly with the people responsible for the wines.
As a family-owned winery in Oregon, we believe wine is about relationships as much as it is about grapes. Hearing firsthand stories about the vineyard’s history, seasonal challenges, harvest decisions, and winemaking philosophy creates a connection that simply cannot be replicated in larger tasting environments.
These conversations transform a tasting into an experience and help guests better understand the journey from vine to bottle.
Finish with a Relaxing Seated Tasting
After your walk through the vineyard, the experience continues with a leisurely seated tasting overlooking the estate.
This unhurried tasting allows guests to relax, reflect on what they have learned, and enjoy the wines with a deeper appreciation for the land and craftsmanship behind them. Pinot Noir tastes a little different when you’ve stood beside the vines where it grew. The stories behind each bottle become part of the experience, creating memories that last long after the final sip.
Our seated tastings are intentionally personal and welcoming, giving guests the opportunity to ask questions, discuss the wines, and simply enjoy the vineyard’s beauty.
